Description

 

3DXTech's CARBONX™ CF-PETG (1.75mm 750g - Black) is a filament formulated from carbon fiber reinforced copolyester (CFRP). Manufactured in the United States from PETG and high-quality carbon fiber, CARBONX™ CF-PETG is an ideal filament for anyone who wants a structural component that combines strength and printability with excellent surface quality, dimensional stability, and lightweight.

 

In combination with a water-soluble filament, CARBONX™ CF-PETG allows you to print parts with complex geometries and then dissolve the substrate in hot water.

Advice for printing with CARBONX™ CF-PETG

 

 

 

  • Superior chemical resistance compared to ABS
  • Amorphous: Low and close isotropic shrinkage
  • Low moisture absorption: 3X lower than ABS
  • The very low odor emitted during printing
  • Wide range of use: 230 - 270°C 
  • Chemical Resistance: PETG molded unstressed tension rods have good resistance to dilute aqueous solutions of mineral acids, bases, salts, and soaps, as well as to aliphatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, and various oils. Halogenated hydrocarbons, short-chain ketones, and aromatic hydrocarbons dissolve or swell the plastic.

Layer height

 

The ideal layer height is 60% of the nozzle diameter.  We do not recommend printing layers smaller than 0.2 mm with 3DXTech CF filaments.

 

Nozzle wear

 

Carbon fiber filament is more abrasive than unfilled materials, so prolonged use will result in greater wear to your nozzle. We recommend using a hardened steel nozzle.
