Bambu Lab X2D 3D Printer
A new generation of Core XY FDM 3D printing
The Bambu Lab X2D redefines expectations for enthusiasts and professionals alike. The successor to the renowned X1 series, this dual-nozzle 3D printer features major advancements: active chamber heating up to 65°C, certified three-stage filtration, and a servo-controlled extrusion system. Designed for engineering materials (ABS, Nylon, PC, carbon composites), it excels with both PLA and TPU.

 | Print Volume single-nozzle : 256 × 256 × 260 mm | | Volume d'impression double nozzle : 235,5 × 256 × 256 mm |
 | Printing Speed Up to 1000 mm/s | | Nozzle Temperature Up to 300 °C |
Closed-loop servo main extruder: smooth surfaces at any speed
The main extruder uses a PMSM (permanent magnet synchronous) motor—a servo-type motor that samples torque and position 20,000 times per second.

Jam detection before failure : The motor senses abnormal torque and pauses the print before filament grinds or the hotend clogs.
Dynamic pressure advance : Extrusion pressure adjusts in real-time based on nozzle speed and acceleration, eliminating bulging at corners or under-extrusion on long straight lines.
Extrusion force : Approximately 8.5 kg of push force – 70% more than previous generation extruders – ensuring consistent feeding even with flexible or abrasive materials.
Auxiliary extruder: A conventional stepper motor driving a Bowden system. It is capped at approximately 200 mm/s, which is sufficient for support structures and secondary colors but not intended for high-speed model printing.
Result: The main nozzle produces exceptionally smooth walls and accurate corners even at 1,000 mm/s and 20,000 mm/s² acceleration. The auxiliary nozzle handles secondary tasks without compromising speed on the primary model.
The Dynamic Flow Calibration system simultaneously monitors the status of the extruder motor, print head, nozzles, and filament, compensating for deviations in real time before each print.
Dual nozzle: no more hard-to-remove residue
At the heart of the X2D is its system of two independent nozzles:
Main nozzle (direct drive): prints your part with unmatched extrusion force (PMSM servo motor). Auxiliary nozzle (Bowden): designed for support material or a second color/material. | | |
The result: steep overhangs, bridges, and internal cavities are created using a backing material that peels off cleanly, leaving no marks and requiring no tools. No more sanding or cutting.
Active Thermal Management and Engineering Plastics
Equipped with a chamber that can be actively heated up to 65°C, the X2D stabilizes the printing environment for engineering plastics prone to shrinkage, such as ABS, ASA, Nylon (PA), or Polycarbonate (PC). Conversely, for PLA, its dual-intake cooling system ensures extremely fine details and perfect overhangs. With a nozzle temperature reaching 300°C and hardened steel components, it handles abrasive filaments (carbon- or glass-filled) right out of the box.

Flawless Technical Printing
The chamber, actively heated to 65 °C, ensures no warping on ABS, ASA, or Nylon. Two smart modes:
Cool Mode: maximum ventilation for PLA and PETG (clean bridges).
Heat Mode: hot air circulation for engineering plastics.
The build plate, heated up to 120 °C, and hardened steel nozzles (0.4 mm included, compatible with 0.2/0.6/0.8 mm) allow you to print abrasive filaments (CF/GF) without premature wear.

| | Dual-intake cooling for crisp details and precise overhangs. |
Comprehensive AI monitoring with a camera and over 30 sensors: Detection of debris on the build plate, stringing, blobs, and tangled filament, with automatic pause if necessary.
| | Certified filtration for indoor use: Compliant with UL 2904, the 3-stage system (G3 pre-filter, H12 HEPA filter, coconut shell activated carbon) removes particles and VOCs. Ideal for a shared office or workshop. |

Fiabilité et automatisation
✔️ Full automatic calibration (leveling, flow, pressure, vibration).
✔️ Built-in filament cutter.
✔️ 5-inch touchscreen
✔️ AMS 2 Pro compatible (up to multiple units with the FAZ013-N 4-in-1 PTFE adapter for more than two AMS units, including AMS HT).
Wi-Fi connectivity (2.4/5 GHz), a 5-inch touchscreen, and compatibility with Bambu Studio and Bambu Handy make it easy to get started right away.
Quick and easy multi-material processing

With the X2D, you can combine:
- PLA and TPU (rigid + flexible) for handles, hinges, or protective covers.
- PETG as a support material for PLA: supports peel off in a single motion.
- Soluble PVA for geometries that would otherwise be impossible.
Nozzle changes are purely mechanical (no heavy tools required), which keeps the print head lightweight and reduces vibrations even at high speeds.
Who is it for? Designers looking for multi-material prints with minimal waste (minimized purge cycle). Professionals who need durable technical parts (ABS, Nylon, CF).
Discerning users who are tired of supports that are difficult to remove.
