ELEGOO combines open-source electronics with the structural freedom of 3D printing to let makers, students, enthusiasts and professionals create almost anything. The name itself explains the philosophy: “ELE” stands for open-source electronic, while “GOO” comes from “googol” – the number 1 followed by 100 zeros – representing the immense variety of structural models that 3D printers can produce. Founded in 2015 by Chris Hong in Shenzhen – China’s Silicon Valley – ELEGOO was created to solve two clear challenges in the STEM world. At the time, technical tools were not accessible enough for beginners, and most manufacturers focused only on electronic components without offering complete solutions that included structural shells. Drawing on Shenzhen’s advanced supply chain and engineering talent, Chris Hong built a brand dedicated to practical, ready-to-use kits that empower users at every skill level.

The brand vision is straightforward: “Create the future.” With programming and 3D printing technology, ELEGOO gives creators the keys to a new world of personalised making. Technical Product Ranges – Engineered for Precision and Reliability

ELEGOO specialises in consumer-grade FDM and resin 3D printers, laser engravers, filaments, resins and original Arduino-based STEM robotics kits. Each category is designed with clear technical priorities: ease of calibration, stable motion systems, high-resolution output and safe post-processing.

FDM 3D Printers

These filament-based machines use thermoplastic extrusion through a heated nozzle. Models feature CoreXY kinematics for fast, stable movement (up to 500 mm/s on selected systems), direct-drive extruders for precise filament control, automatic bed levelling, and enclosed chambers that maintain consistent temperatures for materials including PLA, PETG, ABS and reinforced composites. Large-format options reach build volumes over 800 × 800 × 1000 mm, while multi-material systems (such as the CANVAS filament-handling solution) enable intelligent colour and material switching directly from the slicer.

Resin (SLA/MSLA) 3D Printers

Using vat photopolymerisation, these printers mask UV light through high-resolution monochrome LCD screens to cure liquid resin layer by layer. Resolutions reach 16K on larger platforms, delivering fine surface details ideal for miniatures, jewellery, dental models and functional prototypes. Build volumes range from compact desktop sizes to large-format systems with double-door access for easier part removal. Integrated AI cameras and drip trays improve workflow safety and monitoring.

Laser Engravers

Diode laser systems offer precise engraving and cutting on wood, acrylic, leather and other non-metals. Adjustable power (10 W to 20 W) and speeds up to 25 000 mm/min, combined with 400 × 400 mm working areas and app-based control, make them suitable for signage, custom parts and artistic projects.

Materials and Accessories

Official PLA, PETG and engineering filaments as well as photopolymer resins are formulated for consistent flow and minimal warping. Post-processing stations combine washing and curing in one unit with controlled UV exposure and solvent circulation for clean, hardened prints. Air purification units reduce resin odour and particles.
