Description

The Zortrax Z-ASA Pro filament is a durable 3D printing filament designed to withstand adverse environments, extending the life of your 3D printed models. This material is highly resistant to various weather conditions and UV light, making it ideal for outdoor applications. The Zortrax Z-ASA Pro ensures that your 3D models will not change color or physical characteristics, even after many outdoor tests. The high temperature resistance makes it possible to test models under direct sunlight without risk of deformation and bleaching. The Z-ASA Pro filament is also suitable for accurate 3D printing of large models due to low warping and shrinking. The filament is available in several colors.

    Features of material

The ASA (acrylonitrile styrene acrylate) filament is a thermoplastic terpolymer material similar to ABS. The difference between these two materials at the structural level is that ASA uses an acrylic elastomer and ABS a butadiene elastomer. ASA is known to be stronger than ABS to the impacts even after being exposed to long periods of time in the open air, rain, cold and salt water.

ASA contains Styrene, which is emitted during melting in the form of fine particles, which can be dangerous for people with respiratory disorders and whose effects on humans are little known. As a precaution, we recommend you to use careened and filtered 3D printers in order to print in ABS, in dedicated empty spaces or spacious and ventilated place. Otherwise, please consider using the PLA filament, which does not present any known danger for the man until this day.
