Bambu Lab X1E, a robust, high-performance 3D printer for professionals and engineering applications

 

 

For all professionals and engineers who need a robust and technical 3D printer, perfectly suited to demanding needs. The robust air filtration system was implemented for safe use in their office. Thanks to the new WPA2-enterprise Wi-Fi authentication and an Ethernet port connection, the level of network security is much higher. The ability to print with engineering grade materials, such as carbon fiber nylon becomes child's play with the innovative features: the higher nozzle temperature of 320°C and the heated and controlled chamber (up to at 60°C). Fast, precise and innovative, it offers endless possibilities for creating prototypes and functional parts in 3D.

 

Bambu Lab's X1E promises to revolutionize desktop FDM 3D printing by offering numerous features. It is capable of simultaneously printing multiple colors and/or materials with its Automatic Material Management System (AMS), ensuring high material compatibility. Robust components ensure printing of carbon fiber/glass reinforced polymers and other demanding materials. Thanks to a force sensor, the printer can compensate for the calibration of the platen by ensuring a perfect Z height and flow calibration using a Lidar. It is also equipped with a camera capable of detecting printing failures.

The X1E offers the ability to connect to your devices via its new Ethernet port, ensuring robust network communication in complex environments. Ethernet connectivity can also be used in congested wireless signal environments. Additionally, the X1E provides WPA2-Enterprise Wi-Fi authentication (EAP-PEAP/EAP-TLS/TAP-TTLS) and individual physical kill switches for Wi-Fi and Ethernet, meeting strict network security requirements.

 

Off-cloud operation

Fully functional with LAN mode only

The X1E can operate independently without connection to the fully functional Bambu Cloud service within your local network. Customers can remotely control the X1E via LAN communication without the need for an Internet connection. For further customization details, please contact your regional dealer.

Robust air filtration

 

 

Active heating and controlled room temperature

 

Effectively filter particles and VOCs generated by 3D printing. The bambu Lab X1E combines a G3 pre-filter, an H12 HEPA filter and a high-quality coconut shell activated carbon filter to provide optimal air filtration. Improved filtration can effectively reduce odors and excessive particles when printing in less ventilated environments.

Reduce warping, improve layer bonding!
The X1E can actively heat and regulate the temperature of the print chamber. Precisely controlled chamber temperature (up to 60°C) improves print quality, especially for filaments prone to warping such as ABS and PC.

Robust, high-speed CoreXY

 

Higher nozzle temperature allows printing of higher performance materials such as PPA-CF/GF PPS and PPS-CF. These new materials have better dimensional stability, better heat resistance and better mechanical performance.

 

 

 

Ultra-fast and rigid structure for continuous printing at high speed!
The premium carbon fiber rods of the CoreXY motion structure enable the X1E to achieve a tool head acceleration of 20,000 mm/s² by reducing the weight of moving parts. This faster acceleration allows the X1E to maintain its maximum travel speed of 500mm/s for longer periods, significantly reducing overall print time.

 

 

 

 

 

Vibration and extrusion compensation

Stable, quality prints even at higher speeds


The X1E can actively compensate for XY axis vibration and extrusion issues to ensure exceptionally smooth print quality. All measurements are fully automatic, eliminating the need for manual adjustments.

AI Fault Detection

Reduce filament waste and machine downtime

The X1E's AI algorithm can detect first layer imperfections and spaghetti failures with the help of Lidar and computer vision. It then automatically pauses printing to avoid catastrophic failures.

 

Intelligent filament management

Supports automatic filament reloading and enables multi-material printing with support material for improved surface quality

The X1E can connect 4 Bambu AMS systems in parallel to print with up to 16 filament spools, ideal for printing dedicated support materials for seamless surface and multi-color printing. The AMS system also supports automatic filament reloading, to use all filaments from a spool before moving on to the next.
